Popular Occultism
GA 94

At the request of the then branch leader Gottlieb Rudolf Jahn and his later successor Elise Wolfram, Rudolf Steiner had given several public lectures in Leipzig since November 1905 and a lecture for the local members on April 25, 1906. Popular Occultism is the first major lecture cycle held there, attended by about 60 people, half of whom were members from Leipzig.

In a preliminary note to the first publication of the notes from this Leipzig cycle in What is happening in the Anthroposophical Society. , Marie Steiner wrote: “These are only brief notes on a cycle of twelve [fourteen] lectures given in Leipzig as early as 1906 under the title Popular Occultism. But historically interesting for those who, as lecturers themselves today, speak to a new generation that longs for the transmission of spiritual knowledge. Therefore valuable as a methodological-didactic guide.”
