The Third Congress of the Federation of European Sections of the “Theosophical Society” will be held in Paris, June 3, 4 and 5, 1906, at the Washington Palace, 14 Rue Magellan. The members of the Federation will be pleased to hear that Col. Olcott has agreed to act as President; we thank him most cordially.
The program of the Congress is largely based on the experiences of previous congresses and on local conditions and resources. It includes two sessions for papers, a musical performance, lectures, and a social gathering; the committee hopes to add an art exhibition organized on a new basis to this program.
Preparations for the congress are being made in the usual way: the French committee, in agreement with the secretary of the federation, determines the broad lines, assigns the task of forming sub-committees to study and organize the individual parts of the program to members called upon to do so, and reviews and makes final decisions on the sub-committees' projects. The names and addresses of the chairmen of the various sub-committees will be given below, and members who wish to make inquiries or offer their services are requested to write to them directly.
At the present time only the date of the congress and the program in general are being determined; the details will be decided later.

Der dritte Kongreß der Föderation europäischer Sektionen der « Theosophischen Gesellschaft» wird in Paris stattfinden, am 3., 4. und 5. Juni 1906, im Washington Palace, Rue Magellan, 14. Es wird den Mitgliedern der Föderation eine Freude sein, zu hören, daß Col. Olcott sich bereit erklärt hat, als Präsident zu fungieren; wir danken ihm dafür herzlich.
Das Programm des Kongresses richtet sich in seinen groBen Zügen nach den Erfahrungen der vorigen Kongresse und nach den lokalen Bedingungen und Hilfsquellen. Es enthält zwei Sitzungen für Abhandlungen, eine musikalische Aufführung, Vorträge und eine gesellschaftliche Zusammenkunft; das Komitee hofft, diesem Programme eine auf neuer Grundlage organisierte Kunstausstellung hinzuzufügen.
Die Vorbereitungen zum Kongreß sind in der gewohnten Weise getroffen: das französische Komitee bestimmt, im Einverständnis mit dem Sekretär der Föderation, die großen Linien, übergibt den dazu berufenen Mitgliedern die Aufgabe, Sub-Komitees zum Studium und zur Organisation der einzelnen Teile des Programms zu bilden, prüft und bestimmt endgültig über die Projekte der Sub-Komitees. Die Namen und Adressen der Vorsitzenden der einzelnen Sub-Komitees werden in folgendem angegeben, und die Mitglieder, die Erkundigungen einziehen oder ihre Mitwirkung anbieten wollen, werden gebeten, ihnen direkt zu schreiben.
Gegenwärtig wird nur das Datum des Kongresses und das Programm im allgemeinen festgestellt; die Einzelheiten werden erst später bestimmt.
