80. Notice of the Amsterdam Congress
On June 19, 20 and 21, 1904, a congress of the European Federation of Theosophical Sections will be held in Amsterdam. The main objective of this federation is to cultivate relations between theosophists in European countries. Am 19., 20. und 21. Juni 1904 wird in Amsterdam ein Kongreß der europäischen Föderation theosophischer Sektionen abgehalten werden. Das Hauptziel dieser Föderation besteht darin, die Beziehungen zwischen den Theosophen der europäischen Länder zu pflegen. Diese Beziehungen bilden einerseits persönliche Bande gegenseitiger Freundschaft und Achtung und sind andererseits auf die intellektuellen Verhältnisse gegründet, die aus gemeinsamen Ideen entspringen. Leiter der Arbeiten für den Kongreß ist unser verehrtes Mitglied in Holland, Johan van Manen. Den Vorsitz wird Annie Besant führen. Sämtlichen Mitgliedern aller Sektionen der 'Theosophischen Gesellschaft steht die Teilnahme am Kongreß offen. An den als «öffentlich» bezeichneten Versammlungen können auch Nichtmitglieder teilnehmen.
Der Kongreß wird aus Öffentlichen, aus Generalversammlungen zur Erledigung von Geschäften, und aus geselligen Zusammenkünften bestehen. Vorträge und Diskussionen werden zu den Kongreßgegenständen gehören.
Es sind schöne Ziele, die der theosophischen Bewegung mit diesem Kongreß gestellt sind; daher muß eine rege Beteiligung erwünscht sein. Alle Anfragen erledigt für die «Deutsche Sektion» Fräulein Marie von Sivers, Berlin W., Motzstraße 17, und, wenn es besonders erwünscht wird, der Ehren sekretär des Kongresses, Johan van Manen, Hawkswood, Baildon, Yorks, England.
